We're growing fast, and we're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Senior Account Executive to join our high-performance team in New York.

This role is for an experienced sales professional with an active network in environmental commodities. You'll leverage your existing relationships to build and grow a client portfolio, supported by our trading infrastructure and market expertise.

From our hubs in New York and Europe, we serve multinational corporations, utilities, and trading houses with bespoke solutions in continuously evolving compliance and voluntary markets.

The Role

You'll operate at the intersection of environmental markets and capital markets, originating deals, managing client relationships, and growing a profitable trading book. This is a senior individual contributor role with real influence over AFS's North American growth trajectory.

What you'll do:

  • Client Origination & Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporates, utilities, project developers, and counterparties across North America and globally

  • Market Making & Execution: Quote, structure, negotiate, and close trades in environmental commodities (RECs, carbon, RNG, and related products); identify arbitrage and liquidity opportunities

  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through targeted outreach, market intelligence, and creative deal structuring aligned with AFS's commercial strategy

  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of regulatory developments, buyer trends, and supply dynamics across compliance and voluntary markets

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, operations, and risk/KYC teams for smooth execution and strong client outcomes

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, trading, or brokerage within environmental commodities (RECs, carbon, fuels, RNG, or similar)

  • Demonstrated track record of building and converting client relationships into revenue

  • Strong understanding of compliance and/or voluntary environmental markets

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with C-level executives and trading counterparties alike

  • Analytical and structured approach to deal-making

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field

  • Existing network in North American environmental or energy markets

  • Exposure to cross-border trade flows or international client bases

  • Additional languages are a plus
