(Medior) Back-End-/ Full-Stack Developer | AFS Energy

We are searching for a back-end developer to strengthen our team. An individual who is result driven, diligent, can think along and ahead with the business, and is a pleasant personality to work with. As a back-end developer, you will be part of an intelligent and highly motivated IT team of 24 direct colleagues, consisting of front-end, back-end and full stack engineers.

As a back-end developer, you will be working on expanding our internally developed trading and administration system. This includes building new features, fixing bugs, and maintaining the code base while working with stakeholders to deliver a better product to the front office, back office, risk, finance, and legal departments, who rely on the system. You will be in close consultation with all relevant departments and stakeholders involved in the system. You will report into the Finance and Operations line.

Must have experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• You have at least 3-years relevant working experience
• You communicate fluently in English
• Projects using PHP 8
• Projects using Symfony (6)
• (Modern) JavaScript and SCSS
• Writing unit and integration tests (PHPUnit)
• Translating business needs into coding language
• It’s important you are conscientious, and you have a strong sense of agility

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue (or a similar modern front-end framework)
• You show interest in the Renewable Energy and financial services industry
• Open in communication to tackle the project's complexities together
