Assistant Portfolio Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Portfolio Manager / Trader for EAC (GO and IREC) desks at our company, AFS Energy. This means you are going to offer both bids and asks along with the market size for each commodity. You will aim to profit from the bid-ask spread difference while providing liquidity to sustainable commodity markets. Does this sound like an interesting take-off? Then read on!

As Assistant Portfolio Manager, your primary role will be to ensure market functionality by providing liquidity. You will maintain a high volume of trades to enable seamless execution. Additionally, you will identify market opportunities through research. You will also provide valuable advice and contact to a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal and external Traders, Brokers and the Risk Management team. 

Job requirements

  • Preference some Trader experience;

  • Excellent numerical and problem solving / analytical skills;

  • Strong communication and team-working skills;

  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset;

  • Fluently verbal and written English skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • An understanding of the renewable energy industry, including trading dynamics related to the buy and sell side of transactions, negotiation, and other macroeconomic factors.
